Tilquin Oude Syrah is a grape lambic based on 185 grams of Syrah grapes per liter of lambic. Syrah grape comes from France in the northern Rhone.
 
Gueuzerie Tilquin, located in Bierghes in the Zenne valley, is the only Gueuze distillery in Wallonia. A gueuzerie, or Geuzestekerij in Dutch, is an enterprise where Gueuze à l'ancienne (or Oude Geuze) is put into / mixed. Freshly brewed wort is purchased from various producers in the region (Payottenland and Brussels), and pumped into oak barrels for fermentation and maturation, for 1, 2 or 3 years.
