Oude Geuze Oud Beersel is a traditional lambic beer that is made according to a traditional method and enjoys European protection. The Oude Geuze is created by blending lambics that have matured for several years in wooden barrels. The Oude Geuze Oud Beersel is distinguished by a typical fruity and hoppy touch. A golden yellow color and a soft collar foam. The aromas are complex with a typical smell of wild yeasts. The taste traditionally combines a pleasant bitterness with the sour yet soft character of the spontaneous fermentation and its complex subtleties.
Oude Geuze is a controlled designation of origin and the name is therefore protected. 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze is an assembly of one, two and three-year-old traditional lambics, fermented in the bottle. Thanks to the spontaneous fermentation, the long aging in oak barrels, and the continuous evolution in the bottle, a distinctly complex and elegant beer is created. Lambik and Gueze are a rich living heritage, typical of the Zenne valley! Unflavored and unpasteurized.
Spontaneous fermentated beer , a blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old lambic. Not filtered and not pasteurized. This beer is refermented in the bottle for a minimum of 6 months. The taste is tart and dry, but has a certain roundness that makes this Oude Geuze particularly accessible to non-experts. Fans prefer this Oude Geuze for its sweet complexity. It also has a slight dry bitterness due to the youth of the oak barrels used, which still release some tannin. It has a fresh lemon scent.
