 Embrasse ages 4 to 6 months in whiskey barrels. For the Peated Oak Aged Embrasse these are Islay casks; for the Blended Oak Aged Embrasse these are non peated whiskey barrels. As a result of barrel maturation, the beer takes on the rich whiskey notes, making the beer softer and rounder in taste. Both types are excellent with blue cheeses and nuts; but also excellent with game dishes.
