Reninge Oud Bruin | 37.5 cl

Reninge Oud Bruin | 37.5 cl | ABV 6% | Seizoensbrouwerij Vandewalle

Reninge Oud Bruin is brewed according to the tradition of Flemish Oud Bruin and has an alcohol percentage of 6%. This beer is blended with a brown beer that has rested for more than twelve months in oak barrels. The maturation in oak barrels and the mixed refermentation in the bottle gives the beer a complex, intense and finely sour taste. During bottling, the beer is blended with young brown beer. This beer owes its name to the oud bruin production that Reningse brewers maintained before the First World War. In 1904, the Criem brewery, on the village site of Reninge, had an intense oud bruin production, which was purchased far beyond Reninge. Brewer Croigny from Lo won a gold medal with an honorary diploma for his oud bruin beer in 1907 [in Ostend].
