La Renaissance Grand Cru III | 75cl

La Renaissance Grand Cru no.2 |  2.5  year Barrel Aged | 75cl | ABV: 7.0%

La Renaissance by brewery De Dochter van de Korenaar is a revival of an old success song. In the 1800s, the 'India Pale Ale' was highly sought after in  The United Kingdom. La Renaissance is made from the malt and hops, which were the most commonly used at the time, and then matured for a year in wooden barrels. Due to this long maturation, the beer becomes softer and less bitter. In addition, the beer absorbs tannins and flavors from the wood. Our own 'twist' to this story is the choice of barrels used. We have opted for burgundy barrels from the top brand, 'Puligny Montrachet.' This white Burgundy with its dry, earthy spiciness complements the beer excellently. The slight acidity of the wine harmonizes wonderfully well with the bitterness of the beer. A few days before bottling, 'La Renaissance' is dry-hopped with the popular hop variety 'Nelson Sauvin.' This gives the beer even more 'Sauvignon Blanc' character and a fresh fresh hop taste. La Renaissance is a brilliant and complex beer, which will delight the most spoiled beer lover with its multitude of flavors. You don't have to pair 'La Renaissance' with food, but is a treat in itself. Try the wine together with the beer, you will be surprised by the similarities. Best before date: 11/2023
