Cantillon Rosé de Gambrinus is a mixture of Lambic and raspberries (200 grams per liter). Beer with a sour taste, fruity and fragrant. As with the Kriek, the fruit flavor of the Rosé de Gambrinus comes into its own when you drink it young. Over the years, the taste of the Lambic will regain the upper hand, at the expense of the fruit.
The raspberries come from Serbia. The fruit is mixed with lambic that is on average 20 months old. We use 200 grams of fruit per liter. Raspberries are brittle fruits, so we have to choose a soft and delicate Lambic that goes well with the fruit.
After a maceration of two to three months, the Lambic has extracted the color, aromas and flavor from the raspberries.
